Hot desk or private office: which one fits your team?

Coworking spaces generally offer two formats: hot desks and private offices. Here is how to tell which one suits you.
Hot desks
A hot desk suits anyone who wants to work somewhere professional without a long commitment. Freelancers and small teams get a place to work, a community around them and access to meeting rooms. The one limit is that no desk is permanently yours, and there is no room of your own.
Private offices
When a team starts to grow, or the work itself calls for more privacy, a private office becomes the better answer. You get a space that locks and that you can make your own, somewhere quieter for calls, and a permanent place to work — usually with meeting rooms included.
When to take the next step
If you need a room of your own for daily meetings, you leave equipment on site, or the open floor no longer matches the way you work, it is worth looking at something roomier.
